The Shroud of Turin has been around for centuries and it has always been a bit of a controversy. There are many who believe and claim it is the burial cloth of Christ and that it is His image on it and that no one can duplicate the way the image is “burned” into it. It is on a one piece of burial cloth that allegedly was around the Body of Christ. There is an image of it below.

On the other hand, there are those who say it is a hoax and a lie because of evidence against it and ancient manuscripts that pop up from time to time stating it is a fake. The way the image is in it has been duplicated and yes it did look like a three-dimensional image like what is on the Shroud when they were finished, using the type of technology and abilities they have back when it first appeared during the Middle Ages.

When I first heard of it as a child back in the 1960\'s and saw pictures of it I had to admit it was impressive, but I also knew it wasn't real.

God, in His infinite wisdom, knew that the Shroud would one day surface and that there would be controversy and debates surrounding it that would go on for years. We find the answer written long before the Shroud of Turin ever made an appearance found in the Bible that proves once and for all if it is or is not the burial cloth of Christ. The Bible says:

And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
(John 20:7)

All of the various and different translations point this one fact out. It was two pieces of cloth, not one like The Shroud of Turin appears to be. There was one around the body and a separate cloth shroud the head. Therefore, according to Scripture itself, there is NO question about it, The Shroud of Turin it is a FAKE!
