Every year at this time there are a lot of those who do not believe in God who protest and attack anything to do with God and the Birth of Christ. Lately there has been more and more Christians going along with this movement. They claim that since no one knows the exactly day of Christ’s birth that we should not be celebrating it.

It is true that no one really knows the day upon which Christ was born, but we have chosen to celebrate it on 25 December. If someone does not want t celebrate it then it is their choice. If someone does want to celebrate it, and according to Biblical teaching and fact, no one has the right to judge them for it. The Apostle Paul tells us, “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.” (Colossians 2:16).

The world has taken this Holy Day of remembrance and celebration of our Lord’s birth, and has turned it into a day of greed and wanting more and more and gluttony. It is not thinking about Him who was born and died for us, but is a day of wanting more and more. There is no more of families getting together for worship and praise and thanking God for His ultimate Gift to us. It is now rushing out to spend more money at the department stores and trading gifts of things we did not want for something we do want.

The main gift that we should be concerned with above all others is the gift of Christ that God Himself has given us (James 1:17, Ephesians 2:8). No other gift can even compare to this. It is a gift for us and for us to share with others. By sharing the gift of Christ, it does not diminish, but continually increases and spreads.

The world has embraced indecency, immorality, and evil as something that is wholesome and good. They have rejected all that the Bible teaches us and all that is moral and decent, as something that is utter nonsense and fables. They have chosen to follow lies and darkness and have chosen to ignore Truth and The Light.

The more the world tries to disprove the Word of God, the more they validate it and find no real fault in it. As Children of the One and Only True Living God, we must never falter in our witness of God and we must continually spread God’s message to an unbelieving world before it’s too late. The moment we die or the moment of Christ’s Return it will be too late for those who reject Him. Let us present the real Jesus to them and let the Holy Ghost take it from there. Unless the seed is planted, it will never grow or mature. Let us be the tool that God uses to spread His Word, and let those who are lost hear the knock at the door so they may open it and allow Christ to come within.

This Christmas Season, let’s all be instruments and tools that God can use. Let us help those who are less fortunate. Let us reach out to those who seem to be completely lost and have no hope and share with them the Gift that God has for each and every one of us. Just as a new year approaches us, so everyone can be born-again and have a new life through Christ (John 3:3-6).

May every one of you have a Merry Christmas as we celebrate and remember the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, and share with the world the gift of God through His Son Jesus Christ, the gift that continually gives over and over again, and continues to increase and never decreases.
