THE CHRISTIAN LIFE (Part A)
New converts must be baptized or immersed once in water "in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost," by a Divinely authorized minister of God, as soon as practical.
In order to enjoy a happy, health, and holy Christian life we must pray sufficiently each day, study God's Holy Word often, and seek the fellowship of other Christians (not the ungodly), and worship God with the Church regularly.
We must love all others, practicing charity, and maintain faith and confidence in God, His power and promises.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:3, 4
For as many of you have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer...
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5: 17, 18
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
1 Timothy 2:8
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
BIBLE STUDY - SPIRITUAL FOOD:
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
1 Peter 2:2
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
The words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt have good success.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ...
2 Peter 3:18
For whatever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
SEARCH AND STUDY:
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God...
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1 John 4:20
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 John 4:7
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:18
...God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith...
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
1 John 3:21
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward...Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrews 10:35, 38
EXHORTATIONS UNTO FAITH:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on your own understanding.
...Have faith in God.
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck.
1 Timothy 1:19
Fight the good fight of faith...
1 Timothy 6:12
...Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
...be not faithless, but believing.
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
PRAYING IN FAITH:
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
...According to your faith be it unto you.
BENEFITS OF FAITH:
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Jesus said,...blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is our victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:4
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus said unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE (Part B)
In order to be a useful, fruitful, and productive Christian we must be meek and humble, obedient to all the Word of God, and the leadings of His Spirit, in thought, word, and deed, separating ourselves from all worldliness and pressing into entire sanctification of spirit, soul, and body, perfecting holiness (both internally and externally), ultimately crucifying the old self nature.
A real Christ-like life is filled with righteousness, good works, and the fruit of the Spirit, and we will gladly serve the Lord, witnessing to others for Christ, seeking to win souls unto him for His glory.
MEEK AND HUMBLE:
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
And Jesus called the little children unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:2, 3
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient.
2 Timothy 2:24
Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:12, 13
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1 Timothy 6:11
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22, 23
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself in him.
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat of the good land.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
For as many are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15-17
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
2 Timothy 2:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.
2 Timothy 3:4
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
1 Timothy 5:6
SANCTIFICATION AND HOLINESS:
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.
1 Thessalonians 4:3
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2 Timothy 2:21
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 John 3:3
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Peter 1:16
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
CRUCIFIXION OF SELF:
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
...the world was is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which was against the soul.
1 Peter 2:11
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
1 Peter 3:15
And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see the Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
Acts 22:14, 15
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bearing his sheaves with him.
Psalm 126:5, 6
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
1 Corinthians 3:9
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE (Part C)
After Salvation, every child of God should receive a second spiritual experience called the Baptism into the Holy Spirit, which is accompanied by the manifestation of supernaturally speaking with other tongues (or languages).
Divine Healing has been provided in the atonement of Christ. All the gifts of the Spirit are available for those who will use them for the glory of God and spiritual edification. Supernatural signs, wonders, and miracles follow them that really believe, today.
...Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?...
...after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive...
John 7:38, 39
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the holy Ghost, and with fire.
...and ye shall receive the gift of the holy Ghost. For the promise is made unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:38, 39
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
And be ye not drunk with wine...but be filled with the Spirit.
And being assembled with together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 1:4, 5
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask?
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?...we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:2, 14
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
1 Corinthians 14:1
...covet earnestly the best gifts...
1 Corinthians 12:31
...the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And these signs shall follow then that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.
Wherefore tongues are for a sign...
1 Corinthians 14:22
And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself...
1 Corinthians 14:4
I would that ye all spake with tongues...
1 Corinthians 14:5
Thought I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:1
...I will put none of these diseases upon thee...for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits; who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction...
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
For there is no respect of persons with God.
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Acts 19:11, 12
Is there any sickness among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up...pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
He that spared not his own Son, be delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights...
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord, and there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all...but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6, 11
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.
1 Corinthians 12:7-10
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth, or exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.
...But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after his manner, and another after that.
1 Corinthians 7:7
Neglect not the gift that is in thee...
1 Timothy 4:14
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
2 Timothy 1:6
For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4, 5
Despise not prophesyings.
1 Thessalonians 5:20
Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
And John him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name...Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Mark 9:38, 39
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions [devils], and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
POWER AND MIRACLES:
But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
